Great food and a great experience. Early evening, so not too busy. Was passing and it looked interesting. Menu is very good and I could have chosen an awful lot - that was the hard bit. In the end had the soup (fabulous lamb broth) and a veggie pizza. The pizza was fresh and tomatoey and crispy and very very tasty. Staff were very friendly, attentive but not always hovering. Overall what was intended as basic refuelling turned into a really pleasant experience. I'm definitely going back next time I'm in York.
Great place! If the vibes weren't the greatest, their service sure topped it! Big shoutouts to Nicole-super pleasant, always there to attend, and basically made sure our needs are met. She made this more enjoyable for the night, and this for sure calls back for my return! A big shout to Nicole, just for amazing service. The food was great too! We loved the grilled chicken
We were a group of nine for a family reunion, including some adults cousins from the USA, but this restaurant were happy to accommodate us, at our request, in their outdoor space at short notice, which was lovely during the hot weather. Max was a great waiter who coped with all our quirks & changing requests so well. We all were very happy with our meals, with us eating a good range of dishes from across the menu. I had Sea Bass which was cooked just as I liked it, with good accompaniments. Thank you for making a lovely evening for us, with especial thanks to the chef & good oldMax

Came here for a birthday dinner and will definitely be coming back! Lily was a fantastic server and was more than willing to look after us with allergies. Portions were very generous and food tasted really good! We had the grilled sea bass, lamb skewers with garlic bread, and brownies.
Amazing restaurant. The food is incredible and the staff does the place justice. There's absolutely nothing else we could have asked for. The portions were very generous, very well priced and fresh. 5 stars all round. The fact the restaurant was right next to our hotel was just a bonus. I will say however, automatically adding a gratuity to the bill is not a good look. It turned out to be the amount we would have tipped anyway, but the customer decides what (and if!) to tip, not the restaurant. Not impressed with that.
